Rachel Morris

Rachel Morris graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and a Masters degree in Teaching. She taught 2nd grade in Asheville, North Carolina before taking a brief hiatus from teaching by living abroad, working in Sailboat Deliveries. Rachel is thrilled to have found CDS after moving to Charlottesville in March and is excited to start classroom teaching again. She will be co-teaching Kindergarten with Shannon Rauth. Rachel brings a love of the science of learning to the classroom, along with a deep curiosity around what lights up each student she works with. Outside of the classroom, Rachel loves cooking, eating, riding her bike in the mountains and swimming in the ocean.
