Stacey has always had a clear vision and talent for educating children. Her prior mentors recognized this quality by, among other honors, naming her the Outstanding Student in the University of Virginia’s Master of Teaching program, naming her the first-year Teacher-of-the-Year for the Hanover County School System, placing her in leadership positions early in her career, and promoting her to Assistant Head of School at a successful private preschool – eighth grade school in California. Before proposing and founding Charlottesville Day School, Stacey was the leader of a preschool in Arlington, Virginia. She is the proud mother of CDS graduates Jack and Jane, and loves knowing each of the CDS Bears.
